Managing Director
Annika joined Syntese as Managing Director in November,2024, responsible for the production site in Hvidovre, with a direct link to the management of Ferring’s global production network.
She brings with her over 20 years of international experience in the biotechnology and pharma industry and has previously held senior leadership roles at companies such as Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Biogen, and Human Genome Sciences, where she developed a strong technical and strategic expertise in drug manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance.
As a leader Annika embodies values like integrity, empathy, and community into her work and believes in creating a meaningful environment for both her team and organization. With experience living and working in the USA, Holland, and China, Annika brings a global perspective and adaptability to her leadership style.
Annika holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
She lives in the City of Hillerød with her husband and their two children. In her spare time, Annika enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling around the world, doing cross-fit, and engaging in outdoor activities.
